Silver Alert Continues For Man Missing For Nearly One Week

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Its been nearly a week since a Dallas family has seen their ailing uncle.

Dallas police have joined family members in the search for 70-year-old Roy Lee Cook, of Dallas, who has dementia.

Cook was last seen at his home in the 800 block of Lawton Drive at about 3 a.m. Thursday, August 2.

His niece says Cook is in dire need of help. "If he's still out there he needs help. He's a diabetic, has high blood pressure and cholesterol. But the main thing is, he has dementia," she says.

His nephew says he takes nearly 20 pills a day, to fight his ailments."There is no way he can be right at this point," he says

Cook is believed to have left his home on foot.

Cook is described as being 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds. He has grey and brown hair with brown eyes. Police said he was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, red/white or red/white/black pajama pants and no shoes.
