Some TCU Students Accused Of Cheating Appeal Suspension

May 09, 2018 - 5:27 am

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Students at TCU are appealing their suspensions, saying they didn't realize using an app would lead to accusations of cheating.

Reports say Texas Christian University has suspended more than a dozen students who were using the app 'quiz-let.'

The school says someone posted questions from a previous test on the app and the students were able to copy those questions. But the students say they didn't realize the same questions would show up on their test.

Several students have reportedly hired a lawyer, saying the test should have been changed from semester to semester.

TCU officials have put out a statement saying an academic community requires the highest standards of honor and integrity to fulfill its mission.
