SOUTHLAKE (1080 KRLD) - The manager of a Jamba Juice in Southlake is facing criminal charges after police say she called in a report about a robbery that never happened.

Police got the call from the store on State Street on Friday afternoon. General Manager Amanda Topolinski told the responding officers a man had entered the store, threatened her with a gun and demanded money from the safe. She gave police a description of the suspect but officers were not able to locate anyone matching that description in the surrounding area or on the surveillance footage from the nearby shopping center.

Police say Topolinski eventually confessed to fabricating the incident to cover for the fact that she had been taking money from the safe.

During their investigation, officers also say they found heroin in her purse.

Topolinski was arrested on charges of making a false report and possession of a controlled substance.
