DALLAS (1080 KRLD) -  A Catholic school is saying prayers of thanks today after nearly a dozen students survived a bus crash Thursday afternoon.

Ten students at Bishop Dunne Catholic School are doing okay after their school bus flipped on their way home yesterday afternoon.

The school and staff are holding a special prayer service and assembly of thankfulness today.

The accident happened on westbound I-30 near Loop 12. Police reports say two other cars crashed, and one slammed into the bus.

Nine of the kids and the bus driver were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Archdiocese of Dallas Bishop Edward Burns was at the hospital and says he's thankful it wasn't worse.

Recalling the accident, some Bishop Dunne students say when the bus was hit, it seemed to fly for a second or two before flipping over.

All the students went home from the hospital last night, but the bus driver is staying for observation.

The other drivers involved in the crash are also doing okay.
