It's believed a New Jersey man died from a rare brain eating amoeba he picked up at BSR Cable Park and Surf Resort in Waco last month.   The CDC and local health officials found the amoeba in the park's water skiing area. Kelly Craine with theWaco McLennan County Public Health District, that the area in question is a natural body of water like a lake or pond, so it is not an area that is cleaned. She adds,  the rest of the park, including the lazy river, surfing area and water slides will close until the water is cleaner.  She says while the amoeba wasn't found in there...they did find conditions favorable to it's growth.   On their website, BSR claims their test results came back clean.  They did not reply to a request for comment.
