Suspect Arrested In Dallas Murder

Dallas PD
DALLAS (KRLD) - Police in the Eagle Pass, Texas have arrested a man wanted for murder in Dallas. Police say 32-year-old Ernesto Carrillo-Hernandez was apprehended near the border.
Carrillo-Hernandez is named as the suspect in the death of Martha Alva. Her body was discovered on Sunday along Walnut Hill Lane. She was last seen late Saturday night with Carrillo-Hernandez at a business in northwest Dallas.
Relatives say Alva and Carrillo-Hernandez had two kids together, and that Carrillo-Hernandez had previously stalked and assaulted her. Once police obtained a warrant for his arrest, they were notified by officials in Eagle Pass that they had found his vehicle abandoned about a half-mile from a pedestrian bridge leading into Mexico. Police announced on Wednesday that Carrillo-Hernandez had been apprehended and was in custody.
