Tanker Flips On High-Five Ramp, Temporarily Closing US 75 & I-635

UPDATE: The Northbound and Southbound lanes of 75 have been re-opened. The southbound 75 ramp to Eastbound 635 remains closed. 

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The morning rush hour traffic a big mess this morning because of an accident at the High-Five, and is shut down in all directions.

Reports say a tanker trailer rolled on the ramp from southbound U.S. 75 to eastbound Interstate 635 at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Officials from TXDOT shut down the overpasses and underpasses at the High-Five interchange in North Dallas after a tanker truck overturned on a ramp.

Officials say the tanker contains "highly volatile" materials and the roads were closed as a precaution while emergency crews work to clear the accident.

Both highways could be closed for several hours.
