IRVING (1080 KRLD) - Much of North Texas has received more than three inches of rain this week, and tenants at one apartment complex in Irving say high water has forced them from their home.

They say four first-floor apartments at Estrada Oaks Apartments, near Highway 183 and Belt Line, flooded this week.

"This door has buckled and broken on the bottom," says Yvette Rhodes. "That's where the water was gushing in. If I get another downpour like that, I'm going to have the same situation."

"When I was here trying to dig out the leaves and open this up, I was in water up to my waist," says Chris Christian.

Christian says water has come into his apartment six times in the past three years.

Estrada Oaks has not commented, but tenants say the complex has sent crews to remove standing water.
