DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Triple digit heat may be to blame for dozens of power outages across North Texas this weekend. Oncor Electric Delivery says almost 1,000 people were without power Monday morning.

The outages are scattered across the area, with most outages affecting less than a dozen customers. Oncor says most outages should be repaired Monday morning.

At The Parks Mall in Arlington, an outage interrupted movies. AMC Theatres offered refunds to customers.

MedStar, the ambulance provider in Fort Worth, responded to 19 calls about the heat Saturday and 18 more Sunday. A total of 27 people had to go to the hospital.

On Saturday, MedStar says a child went to the hospital in stable condition after being left in a hot car.

Fort Worth police posted a note on facebook with tips for parents to make sure their kids are safe and do not get trapped in hot cars.
