COLLEGE STATION (KRLD) - People from across Texas have been stopping outside the George Bush Museum and Library on the campus of Texas A&M to leave messages and take pictures ahead of George HW Bush' service. Bush will be laid to rest next to his wife and their daughter, Robin, who died at the age of three.

"All you hear now, ever since he passed, is just how nice he was," says one woman who came with her husband from Houston. "Over and over, not just nice but humble."

A student who stopped at the library says he believes Bush should get more credit for overseeing the end of the Cold War.

"I really think he managed that well, and he will go down in history for that," he says.

Patricia Reese worked in Texas A&M's catering department and says she met George HW Bush when he came to campus for a formal dinner in 1989.

"I was nervous, running around pouring the tea on the right side; we had to learn how to put the silverware down on the table," she says. "He was so nice and friendly."

The library and museum will be closed until Friday. They will reopen and admission will be free Friday and Saturday. The grave site will open to the public Saturday.

The rest of the Texas A&M campus will be closed Thursday.
