DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The end is near for Charming Charlie.

After filing for bankruptcy for a second time, the Houston-based retailer known for its women's accessories said it will close all 261 stores nationwide.

Charming Charlie, a privately-held company launched in 2004, said it hopes to complete its liquidation sales by the end of August.

Charming Charlie currently has 35 stores in Texas.  Fourteen are in the DFW area, including locations in Allen, Arlington, Cedar Hill, Dallas, Fort Worth, Garland, Highland Village, Hurst, Lewisville, Mesquite, Rockwall, Plano and Southlake.

The retailer has more than 3,300 employees company-wide.  It said it does not plan to pay severance packages to workers, but will offer retention bonuses to those willing to stay through the liquidation.

On Thursday, a message on the Charming Charlie website said it was not taking online orders "at this time."
