DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - U.S. Border Patrol agent Juan Ortiz made his plea of not guilty to capital murder charges. The case involves four women who were shot to death in September.

The victims were Janelle Ortiz, Melissa Ramirez, Claudine Luera, and Guiselda Cantu. Investigators say he shot them and left their bodies in a rural area in Laredo.

Ortiz told detectives he was doing a service by killing the women because he didn’t think police were doing enough to curb prostitution.
