DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A substitute teacher in the El Campo ISD has been fired over reports she filmed a pornographic movie in the classroom. The district says it took action after receiving a tip about the teacher filming in a classroom and a workroom.

El Campo ISD says the videos were filmed in May and no students or other staff were involved. The district notified police, which investigated and found several videos had been filmed at El Campo High School.

The district says the woman had been working as a substitute for three months. She has been fired, but the Wharton County District Attorney says no evidence of a crime was found, so she has not been charged.

The El Campo police chief says the woman had closed the door and had clothes on. To be charged with public lewdness, he says someone would have had to be present and offended by her actions.

El Campo ISD posted a note online, writing the teacher has been fired, and it is still seeking legal advice.

"The district continues to hold the safety and well being of our students and staff as our top priority," El Campo ISD wrote.
