DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The 2026 World Cup is coming to North America, and several of those games may be coming to Texas.

The North American bid included 23 candidates to serve as a host city for the 2026 World Cup.

North Texas could host games and practices at AT&T stadium in Arlington, the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, and Toyota stadium in Frisco, where the MLS', FC Dallas plays.

Dallas also hosted World Cup games in 1994.

Houston was named as a candidate for games at NRG stadium and Houston Dynamo's BBVA Compass stadium.

Soccer's governing body FIFA will choose locations over the next three years.
