DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Hundreds of rare items ranging from the Battle of Little Bighorn to other historic relics from Amercia's 'Wild West' are going on the auction block.

Glen Swanson is quite the collector of the Battle of Little Bighorn, George Armstrong Custer and Sitting Bull Memorabilia. He says, "I've sold a lot of things I wish I hadn't of sold and kept a lot of things that I'm happy I did."

Now, he's letting Dallas-based Heritage Auctions showcase his massive collection of legendary stuff from the Wild West.

The auction includes weapons and the uniform of William Tecumseh Sherman. He was Custer's commander at the time of the Battle of Little Bighorn.

"He was kind of small and slight as a lot of these people were in those days. I don't think too many collectors today would be able to wear this to a party." said Tom Slater with Heritage Auctions.

 The bidding starts Saturday morning.
