HOUSTON (1080 KRLD) - President Trump's "Make America Great Again" rally to support the re-election campaign of Senator Ted Cruz is moving from one arena in Houston to another.

The rally had originally been set for the NRG Arena, which seats 8,000. Campaign officials now say the rally will be held at the Toyota Center. That arena is the home the NBA's Houston Rockets and seats up to 19,000.

President Trump's campaign director tweeted that the demand for tickets had been "huge", and that's what motivated the move to a larger venue. The rally is set for Monday, October 22nd at 6:30pm. Monday is the first day for early voting in Texas in the November 6th general election. Cruz is facing a challenge from Democrat Beto O'Rourke.
