Turn Signal At Center Of Lawsuit Against City Of Fort Worth

March 27, 2018 - 1:21 pm

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A flashing yellow turn signal is the focus of a lawsuit pending in Tarrant County.

Kelly Talamantes was injured and her husband was killed while riding their motorcycle in north Fort Worth a year ago.

A car hit them when it turned left at a flashing yellow area at Heritage Trace and North Beach Street.

A lawsuit filed in January claims Fort Worth officials knew the arrow signal had led to several crashes.

Luis Talamantes died in the April 2017 accident.

The Star Telegram reports the city of Fort Worth created a website in May of that year to try and inform people about the proper use of flashing yellow arrows.
