UTA Student Robbed At Gunpoint

ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - Police at the University of Texas at Arlington are investigating after a student was robbed at gunpoint near the campus.

It happened at the Centennial Court Apartments around 10:00 p.m. Thursday. The victim told police he was approached by two people in a vehicle. He said the passenger pulled out a gun and demanded his money and phone.

The victim was not hurt.

Police have increased patrols in the area as the suspects remain on the loose, but they said there is not any immediate threat to the campus.
