Vice President Mike Pence to Talk Border Security in Texas

DALLAS (KRLD) - Vice President Mike Pence will spend Friday in Texas, and his office says he has added a stop in Houston to talk about border security to his schedule.

Pence will visit the Homeland Security Investigations office in Houston. His office says he will meet senior leadership to thank them for "holding the line for our nation's security."

Pence was already planning a trip to Texas Friday. He will also speak at Rice University on the Trump Administration's policies in Venezuela.

After meeting with Homeland Security Investigations and speaking at Rice, Pence will head to College Station. At the George HW Bush Library, he is scheduled to attend a private event as part of the ConocoPhillips White House Lecture Series.

Pence will speak at "An Inside Look at the American Vice Presidency." He will attend with former Vice Presidents Dick Cheney and Dan Quayle.
