DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A jury has convicted a woman in a trial that's related to last summer's kidnapping and murder of a 13-year old Lancaster girl.

In a case connected to the kidnapping and murder of 13-year old Shavon Randle, Laporchya Polley has been convicted of falsifying information in statements to a gun dealer.

Randle was abducted off a street in Lancaster in June of 2017. Her body was found four days later in an abandoned house in Oak Cliff.

Police believe the kidnapping may have been in retaliation for marijuana that was stolen, by one of Randle's distant relatives, from Polley and her boyfriend Darius Fields several days earlier.

No sentencing date for Polley has been set.

Fields was convicted of federal charges several weeks ago and still awaiting sentencing.

There are several trials pending for Shavon Randle's murder.
