Christian Powers
Mid-Day News Editor
Christian Powers is the mid-day news editor at NewsRadio 1080 KRLD.
Christian is a native Texan, calling Mesquite home. During high school, Christian got an early start in radio at 15 years old by interning at Mesquite ISD’s student-led radio station, KEOM 88.5 FM for three years.
After high school, Christian attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study broadcasting. While in college, Christian worked as a part time anchor and traffic reporter at KFOR 1240 AM in Lincoln.
He moved back to the metroplex in 2017, serving a brief stint at a competitor station before joining the team at KRLD as a part-timer, and eventually accepting a promotion to be a news editor.
Christian is proud to be serving at a heritage Dallas radio station.
