Rain tapering off now on the west sides of DFW. Sun will return as the morning progresses from west to east.

A boat load of humidity and sunshine will produce more showers and storms, this combined with upper level disturbances riding along a stationary front draped over the area this afternoon and evening will cause some flooding later today.

Its the same for tomorrow. Some areas could pick up an additional 2 to 4" of rain through Wednesday morning.

After that, a large area of high pressure, sinking air, compression will grip all of north Texas by the end of the week, through the weekend, and for all of next week. We may see our 1st triple digit heat by this Sunday. Factor in the humidity, the heated index will be at or above 110゚ late into the weekend and for a good chunk of next week.

Heat advisories will return!

  • Storms chances continue through Wednesday.
  • Threats: Wind, lightning, hail up to quarters.
  • Drying out and heating by weekend end.
  • Flirting with 100 degrees by the weekend.
  • Heat Advisories return!
