A lot of heat and humidity this week with only a very slight chance for a late day shower storm off to the west and Fort Worth today and tomorrow.

We'll be talking about heat advisories as soon as Wednesday, lasting through  Friday. High temperatures will be in the mid and eventually upper nineties with heat index values climbing to above 105゚ by the middle to end of this week.

There is a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel. The upper level high will shift back to the west and allow a northerly flow to develop in the upper levels of the atmosphere. This may drive a cold front close to the Red River Valley for the 4th of July weekend, in turn, increasing our thunderstorm chances.

Headlines:

  • Slight rain chance today and Tuesday evening.
  • A TON of humidity all week!
  • Heat index values 103-106 all week!
  • Dust is GONE!
  • Slight rain chance returns 4th of July weekend.
