Quick Break From Storms, Chances Increase During The Week

We're not done yet. Not everyone will see storms Tuesday and Wednesday, but the threat remains. Wind, small hail and flash flooding are your threats.

Stay weather aware, please. Best chances for the immediate DFW area will be Wednesday, as another cool front briefly stalls across the area. Tuesday evening's event will be mainly NW of DFW, but something I will keep one eye open for. Precise timing and rain amounts to come.

In the meantime, enjoy your break in the storms today and the slightly cooler temperatures. Oppressive humidity returns, especially Thursday and Friday as heat index values exceed 100 degrees.

Peeking ahead at this weekend, storm chances may return, especially Sunday and again into early next week.

  • National Weather Service to survey damage today.
  • A break in the storms today. Very muggy!
  • Storm chances return for some Tuesday -> early Thursday.
  • Quieting down and heating up Thursday and Friday.
  • Storm chances may return late into this weekend.
  • Yest Rain: 2.42”; June Rain: 3.21”; Surplus: 1.02”
