*I wish I had better news, but here comes the heat. Now, this will not be record breaking heat... we can thank the 1980 heat wave for this. We may come close though on Friday (record 105). By next week, the heat may back off a bit with possible rain chances returning. Time will tell.

Today: Mostly sunny and hot. Slight chance of an afternoon and evening storm… north and west of DFW. High: 100-102. Heat index 102-105. Wind: South 5-10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear and warm. Low: Near 80. Wind: SSE 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny and hot. An isolated storm close to The Red River. High: 101-103. Heat index: 103-105. Wind: WSW 5-10 mph.

Wed. – Friday: Sunny and even hotter. Possible heat advisory.

Highs: 104-107. Heat index: 106-110.

Weekend: Sunny, continued hot. High: 101-104.
