DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Americans don't seem to look at going to the airport as a negative thing as they used to. And the Metroplex has a couple of crown jewels for frequent flyers.

JD Power came out with its 'North America Satisfaction' study for airports around the country.

First off, Love Field landed second overall in the large airport category, only second to Portland Oregon.

Michael Taylor from JD Power says Love Field looks like a mall. He says the perception is: you can't really tell that Love Field is an airport until you see the planes outside, and that's a good thing.  He says passengers are spending more time in the terminal, and they want something to do or see while they wait for their flights.

DFW finished fifth among the mega airports.

Taylor says it's impressive and flyers can see the results of all the reconstruction that the airport has done over the last few years.
