Rainfall totals from last March through the end of July were more than 10 inches BELOW normal, this caused our ongoing drought to accelerate here in North Texas.

Despite the rains that fell earlier this week, forecasters say the drought conditions are worsening across North Texas. The latest map released Thursday by the United States Drought Monitor shows portions of seven area counties in extreme drought, up from five last week.
