A sperm whale and its baby, tangled in a fishing net, lie dead in the Tyrrhenian sea off Italy, Thursday, June 20, 2019. An Italian environmental group is reporting the sighting of a dead mother sperm whale and its baby that became tangled in a fishing net in the Tyrrhenian sea off Italy. Marevivo said Thursday that the Italian Coast Guard had responded, and surmised that the mother died trying to free its baby, which was trapped in a fishing net.
